  1. It's almost always simply stress and fatigue, but there seems to be a lot of that about ("Eye twitch" has been asked 2,547 times on Y!A). It comes with the formal name of myokymia.

Apart from getting more sleep and a more relaxed lifestyle...

("Yeah, right, tell me how"... is a not infrequent response to that suggestion, however correct it is.)

...in some people there's a connection with marginally low potassium levels. Try drinking fresh tomato juice or eating bananas if you hate tomato  juice.

There's almost no association with any serious condition, as long as the eye twitch is the only symptom. It just indicates a slight overdose of "life".

  2. It is a neurological problem.  There is a place in the nervous system where 2 nerves come close together.  The impulses from one nerve jump to the other.  This crossing over sets up the mechanism for stopping the jumping and it usually stops after 2-3 weeks and may return.

  3. It could have something to do with the muscles around your eye.  If it's a problem you really should see an optometrist.

  4. Usually lid twitching is stress related. If you have a lot going on in your life I can see how the lid twitch can go on for an extended period of time. Try to elimiate some of the stress in your life and see if it gets better.

  5. The same thing happens to me from stress, especially every winter around the holidays and anytime that my sister phones me :)

I find that taking a minute to just stop and **breath** really works for me.I've also noticed that caffeine consumption doesn't effect the problem.

Try talking with your doctor if you're really concerned.Stress will eventually effect your body in more ways then just an eye twitch.

    Best of luck to you♥
