Interesting/boring? easy/hard? What do you think? I thought intro to micro and macro was very interesting but also very easy.

  1. I really liked intermediate micro.  It was a lot of calculus, but also a lot of interesting concepts, and of course game theory, which I love :)  It started with a little bit of comparative statics, and then utility functions, production functions, and game theory.  I would say it's on the hard side -- it was a lot of work.  At my university, it has the reputation for being the hardest class in the economics department, but I didn't find it too hard.

I don't like intermediate macro as much.  It's almost entirely comparative statics, which to me is not as much fun as the other material in 401, and there are 50 thousand variables...
