Upper lip waxing question?

Question

first of all , from a rate from 1-10 , how much does it hurt? its just an 'at the moment' sting right ?

and, how do i ask my mom to let me get it done? its not like its extremely noticeable but i would really like to be hairless there. shes not to keen on letting me do stuff like that.

it does hurt more then an eyebrow waxing because the skin there is much more sensitive. so from 0-10, with 0 being no pain and 10 being incredibly painful, i'd gave it a 4. for me, it gets red and i get hives but that's just how i react to waxing. if you're mom doesn't want you to get waxing, maybe ask her if you can get your upper lip threaded. say that it's much cheaper (it is) and there's less of a reaction to it. the pain, whether threaded or waxed, is about the same, so don't worry about that.

It feels like a rubber band snapping you in the lip.  Then it feels a little numb for a day or so.  But it is worth it!

i asked my mom to let me do it and i explained that it was personal choice and she said yes. the first time you do it i would say about a 7, but it hurts for literally a second. ive been getting it done for about a year now and its down, no joke, to about a 2 or 3. i have an extremely low pain tolerance and believe me i wouldnt do it if it hurt.
