Ups and downs about being an artist?

What are, do you think are the ups and downs about being a successful artist? I know a lot of people have some idea about it so lets hear it! It can also be for all kinds of art, can i get like 3 or 4 ups and downs about it if you would thanks!!!!

It is rare to be a "successful artist". If you measure success by being able to make a good living making your artwork, I think it's all ups.

Very few artists are able to support themselves with their artwork. The ups? You don't have to have a job and are free to devote all of your time to making art. Your work is exhibited.

The downs? I really don't see any negativity with success. There are many downs with not being successful.

There are more downs and less ups for being successful artist.  If there would have been more ups and less downs then every body would have successful artist.  The fame being successful artist they are getting then no body would have given them that importance.
