Ups ground damaged/lost items?

Question

i recently shipped 2 boxes of clothes/personal items from new jersey to wisconsin. both boxes were well packed and taped (i hope). i initially asked for fedex express saver shipping when i went to the local shipping store, but i was told i should use ups ground as it would be cheaper.

im really worried that my items will be damaged or even lost since i've read some highly negative things about ups ground. i do have the tracking info but i'm curious if having lost/damaged items is common with this shipping service?

lost / damage is common with all shipping services..

thats why you keep a track on your package.. make sure to have the box inspected before you open it.. then make sure the inside is how you shipped it when delivered.. if damaged or lost make suret o contact right away and keep all receipts and tracking on your package..
