  1. You may want to try and contact UPS directly to ask them about their health benefits for part time employees: 1-888-967-5877.

    Good luck!

  2. UPS P/T handlers only start out at $8.50/hour. But considering the benefits that you DONT pay for it works out to the same thing as a $16-$18/hour job with no benefits! I know you need money, but those benefits are pretty d**n rare and important if you go to the dentist or develop any health problems, have a kid, prescriptions.....you get it. With hours that are 4AM-9AM or 5PM-10PM, there's always room for a second part time job. That's what I did. I worked the 4-9 morning shift at UPS for 3.5 years and was up to $15.00/hour. Then worked a second job from 10AM-2PM that paid me $9.50/hour with no benefits. It worked out really well for me. Now I'm a driver at UPS and love it. If you start part-time and go full time, you will definitely have a better understanding of the job out on the road. If you are attending college, UPS will pay a certain amount per year for tuition. Its called "earn and learn", well worth it. Only problem is that most people end up staying at UPS as a driver because of the job security, benefits, pension, 401K, and pay are higher or better than the job their degree is in. Many drivers have degrees in other areas of work!

  3. Dude think twice about being a part time package handler.  It is very difficult and does not pay well either.   If you do work for UPS, then be prepared to have extreme back pain and fatigue.
