I am a 45 yr old white female-- grew up in the States as did my parents and all 4 grandparents and all great-grandparents.  I am about half English and 1/4 Swedish and 1/4 Danish.

As for health problems, there a history of strokes (grandfather), type 2 diabetes(grandmother), and Alzheimer's (other grandmother, although she didn't get it until about 95 yrs old). My mother, after living a very healthy lifestyle (she exercised, ate tons of veggies and very little processed foods or white flour) died at 62 of pancreatic cancer.  My father had hep. A (got it working on a farm many yrs ago) when I was little and was never quite the same.  Always fatigued.Other than that, though, he was healthy and at 84 he still does not have any major problems-- no high blood pressure, strokes, heart issues, dementia, or eye problems. He does have skin cancer but it is not the kind that is lethal.  He just goes to the doc every 8 weeks to have it taken care of. He tries to go for a bike ride every day as long as there's no snow on the ground. He drives his grand kids to school and home every day. He's practically deaf, which has happened to all of his siblings and mother. And I find that I, too, seem to be heading in that direction. Oh, my mom also had Rheumatoid arthritis. My dad probably had depression and borderline personality disorder (calm and gentle mostly, with a terrible rage attack about once a year in which the child suffering his wrath literally thought he/she would die)  Also, my father has Asperger's syndrome, along with my brother, and 3 of my 4 sisters, A couple of them having more severe symptoms than others.

I am not color blind and the same goes for all of my relatives.

No history of smoking or drinking on either side, except for the grandfather who had the stroke at 76 and died from it.
