Urban Legend or Ancient Prophecy

There is a strong conspiracy theory gaining momentum that Barack Obama will win the Presidency via vote manipulation. Once President, he will after a short period convert to Islam and impose muslim rule on the US ( The wheels have already been set in motion with with Tyson Foods in Tennessee replacing Labor Day with Eid al-Fitr a Muslim Holy Day - check it out if you don't believe it!!) .

It is said that events are being manipulated to bring about a religious war in the US, were Right Wing Extremists Militias supported by factions of the US MIlitary will seize control plunging the country into chaos. A charismatic leader will emerge proclaiming a New World Order lead by the US. Peace will reign for 2 years then get ugly again as it is understood that the "charismatic leader" will be no other than the Antichrist himself! World War will then be realised with most of the earths population wiped out.

The events have been calculated to coincide with an "End of Days" scenario hearalding the Rapture prior to Christ returning with the Second Coming in 2012.

All these events were documented by Nostrodamus apparently so be warned!

  1. this is a load of ****

  2. So -- vote McCain.

  3. People who say silly things are silly people.

No, you didn't say you believed this. But you took the trouble to pass it on.

Maybe you don't know whether you believe it or not. Maybe you need to educate yourself before you are clever enough to be silly.

  4. A confabulation of nonsense! They were not documented by Nostradamus, there is no '2012' prophesy outside of the fevered imagination of conspiracy nuts, there is and will be no 'rapture' and this whole pile of arsedribble is merely a screen for the fact that some folk can not stand the idea of a black guy in your Whitehouse! For shame, America!

  5. sounds like a plot for a new movie

  6. Well, anything is possible, I guess.  This just seems so unlikely I think there are better odds of flying monkies coming out of Queen Elizabeth's butt.

  7. Since Tyson Foods made Id-el-fitr a possible choice for a paid holiday in only one out of 118 factories, I wouldn't be too worried. Definitely Urban Legend, one of many to come to convince people not to vote Obama. Are you going to believe any conspiracy theory ? Tell me one single conspiracy theory that turned out to be a conspiracy....

  8. Please, stop reading.

  9. I don't think so I really don't - but -  Muslims have said that they will destroy the US from the inside out... and if you think about it, Obama really was raise as a Muslim by his stepfather till he was a teen, has very strong ties to some very shady characters (William Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, Jeremiah ("God d**n America") Wright, Farakhan, and many more...

I will not vote for Obama - he will not pledge allegiance to the flag nor out of respect to the people who died for him raise his right hand over his heart for the national anthem...

  10. Oh my god, isn't life stressful enough without having all of this to worry about?  Geez!  Maybe try to focus on what you can do to make yourself a valuable member in our society, make sure to vote the way your heart and mind tell you and remember that Michele de Nostradam made thousands of predictions that have never been really figured out.

I believe that there are enough people in our country who would strongly resist any such thing.  I don't particularly like Barrack as president, but I don't like the other guy much either.  We're stuck between the rock and the hard place.  But it's our own fault if we end up with someone bad.  I believe we're set for a revolution; but it will more than likely be economic reasons more so than what you've stated above.

  11. Really?  Isn't there enough reality to be afraid of in the world without fabricating this nonsense.  Please stop trying to scare people (into doing what you want) & just go away!

  12. I'm not an Obama fan and even I would say that every word of this is pure nonsense, especially the Nostradamus reference.  He never mentioned 2012 or the United States much less Obama nor did The Bible but there is no shortage of gullible people online.

  13. dont tell me you think obama will be the antichrist wearing a turban as according to nostradamus?

  14. Wow! You must really believe the President has that kind of power!! The President really cant do sh*t without the ok from both the Senate and the House. So Muslim rule? Don't think so!! You need to get out of the fantasy section in you're local library. I always find it funny how Nostradamus's predictions are only proven after the fact!! Have you ever really read his predictions? In his own words? They're so cryptic and riddled that its virtually impossible to use them to predict the future. Its only after the fact that you can twist facts together to complete his work. Its like putting a puzzle together but only after looking at the picture!!!

  15. Urban Legend or Ancient Prophecy?

I say it's more of an unmedicated paranoid delusion.

  16. Neither. It's a load of c**p.

This makes, what... the 15th antichrist Nostradamus warned about?

Tghe only part that is accurate is Obama getting elected. It falls apart from there. Firstly, no president can impose any kind of religious rule on the US.

    The rest is just ridiculous...

  17. Wow, that was quite a bit to take in.  I think its silly, and that doesnt sound like something that Nostrodamus prophecised. I think that Barack would make a good president and that everyone needs to chill out.  You sound like your talking about WW2 by the way.  Thats all I cold think of.  This is a very nice story though, good material for a book or movie, I would see it. Well I think it is silly.  But if you believe more power to you.

  18. Probably just another Urban Prophecy.

Actually, seeing as some of Nostradamus's prophesies were surprisingly accurate this might just happen. However I'm not really a believer in psychic abilities or predicting the future, I just like blaming stuff on coincidence. But I guess all we can do is wait... happy I'm in Canada, not the USA if this does come true!

  19. I'm not sure exactly what the question is. It seems to have 3 strands: 1. a critique of the conspiracy theory based on Nostadamus' teachings, 2. a critique of the biblical nature of the conspiracy theory and 3. a critique of the theory as a stand alone philosophy.

    1. If these conspiracy theorists are basing their beliefs on the prophecies of a 16th Century French seer who saw the movement of planetary bodies as an indication of the future then that's a bit wacko. Many of his predictions can only be fitted to certain events through "strategic translation" and even then he's about as vague as a horoscope. So the theory has no solid foundation in Nostradamus.

    2. If you're saying that there are conspiracy theorists out there who are confusing theory with the book of revelations, then that too is somewhat bonkers. Fitting a social theory about the rise of Islam to the tales of End of Days is science fiction. Who is the Beast with Seven Heads supposed to be? Hilary Clinton? You can't bring metaphysics into a coherent political argument and expect people to just nod their heads and agree. Besides, magic and the arcane (which is what Nostradamus dealt in) are not compatable with biblical teachings. You can't believe strongly in both; it doesn't make sense. I'm not saying you can't believe in God/Christianity and magic at the same time, but such a literal interpretation of the Bible that these conspiracy theorists seem to have has no place in it for the rantings of a mystic seer. It doesn't make sense to believe in both.

    3. The conspiracy theory by itself, magic, mysticism and God aside, isn't the craziest one out there. But it's still crackers. Obama could convert to Islam - but I don't see why after doing this a civil war would suddenly occur. What's wrong with him being Muslim? Sure, there would be the usual right-wing types getting up in arms. But do you really think the American military wants a war on American soil? Do these conspiracy theorists genuinely believe that factions of the army will suddenly turn against the president and, along with the gun-toting hicks in the hills, try to seize control? It's ridiculous. Especially if he is, as he looks like he might be, a good man and a competent president. There would be no point. Civil war would be a disaster - not to mention heavily weighed against muslims (2 million against nearly 305 million)...it makes no sense whatsoever. And with that fundamental flaw in the theory, there's no point critiquing the rest of it.

So: to answer your question (or all three!) - I can only conclude that this conspiracy theory is completely and utterly nuts.

  20. Where on Earth do such silly ideas come from? How can anyone take them seriously?

  21. That is not an urban legend that is not even ancient prophecy That is just a total lie period.. And as for the world ending in 2012 is also something that came out of the mind of man-kind... And here is a fact for you is that if Obama did changed his religion to Islam once he is in office he would be dead within hours of doing so and Being a paranormal researcher I have read everything that Nostrodamus has ever written and no where is anything you have stated so far is written in any book.... I think that you are full of Bull do-do..... For you are a greater liar then the Catholic Church and they have told the world some real woppers.......... And there is no such thing as the rapture written in any bible.... And yet there will be people that will take your lies as truth.. But then again there are idiots everywhere..............
