Emanuelson, who moved to AC Milan half-way through the 2010/11 season after representing Ajax Amsterdam in well over 150 league matches, has now revealed that the Oranje are eager to make a fresh start.
“We at the Oranje are really working for a new start. It works for many guys and it is really motivating that there are many opportunities given to new players. I still need to try and find my way in the national team. That is
not surprising, I have not been here often. I would like to show the coach that I was rightly selected”, the 26-year-old was quoted as saying to OnsOranje.
The versatile Dutch player, who can play at any position down the left side on the pitch, has thus far made 40 appearances while donning the jersey of the Serie A giants. However, the Dutchman has expressed his desire of becoming
a regular at San Siro following departures of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Silva-c34903 and Zlatan Ibrahomivic, as he has mostly been used from the bench.
“It is an interesting time. There is obviously much happening at the club. There are a lot of people who have left. I still feel the confidence of the people there [Milan], they say they are satisfied with me. This weekend I did
not play, but I'm glad I remain in the picture of the Dutch national team”, Emanuelson concluded.
The Oranje will commence will their 2014 World Cup qualification campaign against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Turkey-c3026 at Amsterdam Arena on September 7.
