her father finds out

and puts him ina pit with two doors

the princess knows which one

and motions him to one

if he opens the wrong a door a tiger will eat him

but if she saves him she is disgraced and cant marry the appropriate prince and save 1000s of lives by adverting war

if she tells hiom theright one they can never marry anyway

she is disgraced

and many will die in the war

but she will kill the man she loves
