He is having very bad cramping and stomach pains. He took an max strength ex-lax at about 1 and still nothing. We think it might have to do with him not tolerating dairy any more but we can't be sure.

What are some remedies

what could relieve his pain

what could he do to prevent this from happening again.

  1. ok..well cheyenne pepper pills ( im not sure if i spelled cheyenne right) might help..lol.. I tried these once bc my husband said it would help my metabolism..and omg..it made me go all day long..but beware..your a**hole will feel like its on fire...its not fun..but it does make you go. you can pick these up for a few bucks at walmart or any other drugstore..

  2. Fleet e***a from the Drug Store...instant relief

If he is lactose intolerant...STOP eating Dairy...that should help...if he's not sure about his tolerance...stop for a week or two with the dairy and see if he improves without eating it.

Make sure he is drinking PLENTY of water

  3. For his immediate problem i would suggest an e***a if he fails to move his bowels after the e***a then he needs medical attention. Beyond that he needs to start eating a high fiber diet and increasing fluids, preferably water.

  4. have him drink warm water and you can add a teaspoon of Epson Salt to the water.  It will usually do the trick.

To prevent constipation, drink plenty of water, eat a high fiber diet, and plenty of green leafy vegetables

  5. Eating fiber can help.. My husband has IBS with constipation and he has to eat lots of fiber. Also he has to drink lots of water. I find that magnesium citrate (you can get it @ drug stores) cleans him out better than anything else.. I always get magnesium citrate that is red it taste a little better. It is a liquid instead of a pill so it works faster.

  6. If you and him believe it's from dairy products, you can count that out, because he would have diarrhea. The pain and cramping he is now having can be from the laxative he took. El-ax should work but it usually takes all night. The best thing I have found is Milk Of Magnesia. There is no cramping and also works overnight, but if you take it early and walk around, it will work quicker. Does he eat a lot of cheese or peanuts. Both will bind you up. If he is bothered with it a lot, he needs to start taking Metamucil or Citracil for the fiber he needs. It regulates your bowel movements. It is not a laxative. He may have to resort to an e***a flush, or they also make glycerin suppositories that is inserted into the r****m that works really well also. He could take some Mineral Oil for help also, but not all the time. Drink plenty of water, which he may try now that will moisten the intestines. I certainly hope he gets relief soon, and you young lady are a caring person worrying about him. Wishing you both the best of luck.
