Urgent--Savona of Italy or voghera or pavia or milano centralr?

the above cities in Italy-

which is the best to travel:

easier to find the main street, more people to speak in enlgish,

go by train from Nice of france to these places

They're all the same with regards to your criteria. Why not read up on which one has the kind of history, cultural sights, nightlife and experiences that you're interested in? I travelled Italy solo on trains and absolutely loved it  - learn some basic Italian before you go and you'll be fine!

Now that I know more I would stay within 1 or 2 hours distance by train.

The only place that is worth it there in the region called Liguria is therefore Genova (in english Genoa), with a center worth a visit and a wonderful aquarium.

The other places I mentioned are on the coast. You could also depart from Genoa but you should spend 1 night at least. The coast is very nice but won't give you any particular memory of Italy if you only have few hours, you should devote more time.

Much depend also on the weather

i think it's milan

(i'm italian)...in milan there are more strangers than italians, so you'll find people who speak english (there are a lot of tourists), the main street is near "duomo" (cathedral) which is in the main square..very easy!

if you go there by train you have to arrive in "milano centrale" station, then take another train to go in "milano cadorna" station which is in the centre of the city...then you can walk to the main square or take the subway...
