Urgent : coding to create login page and to connect SQL server 2000 in visual studio .net web application?

Question

i want to create a website which has a login form that connects to database in SQL server 2000 to check if the username and password is valid and accordingly connects to a webpage where he can add, edit, delete or view certain information. How do i do it in visual studio.net. I have to use asp.net/vb.net .Please reply urgently!!!
