Urgent help needed on a ebay-paypal case ??

Question

Hey , I bought an item on ebay for £85 on friday. The seller sent me an invoice that was dnot done through ebay because we negotiated a different price that the one previously on ebay. Ebay sent me a message on sunday night saying this seller is no longer a member on ebay because of private reasons and advised me not to make payment but it is too late for that. If the item does not arrive have i got any chance in getting my money back. Help is very much appreciated.

If you paid via paypal, you should still be relatively okay.  It may be something of a pain though.  Contact the seller and see what they have to say.  Be polite; you may still get your item.  If you don't, then contact both ebay and paypal (which are basically the same company, but have different systems for handling these problems).  You may still be able to make a claim on ebay, just provide all the emails that you used in the price adjustment process with the seller and provide them to customer support.  If that doesn't work, you should be able to get the charges reversed via paypal using the same processes.  

Now, listen, it can be a real pain getting anything done with ebay and paypal.  Personally, I have really began to hate them.  Ebay seems to be getting worse in just about every way every day, but you should be able to resolve your problem still.
