I only have 20 minutes to book this in...

I have to go back to see my doctor in two weeks time and i was told to bring a friend. I booked an appointment and she got off work for the day to come with me.

It's just i might be due to start a new job that week as a waitress so will be doing shift hours. I don't know what hours untill next week though but i've allready booked this appointment.

So can i book another appointment at a later time aswell then canel one next week...is that allowed?

I put it in this cateory because the appointment is regarding mental health issues and people here usually give good answers!

Sorry, no time to spell check!

  1. The first thing I'd do is contact the Dr's. office and see when the next available appointment would be and find out their cancellation policy and tell them you will get back with them.  Next I'd contact my friend that has made arrangements to take off work to go with you and make her aware of the situation and find out if her schedule is flexible based on the next available apt. the Dr's office offers.

Keep in mind, if your apt is for two weeks out and you expect to hear from your potential employer next week, then you always have the option of explaining to the employer that you have a previously scheduled Dr's. apt and could they please work with you and arrange your schedule so you can keep the Dr's. apt.  If they can't then you will be able to make your decision as to your next course of action.

    Good luck

  2. if it is your mental health then talk to your boss because nobody should have to work in your situation

  3. y wouldn't u be able to do that. it just may be harder to get an appointment when u want it depending on if its a busy office or not

  4. Most offices require a 24 hour notice to cancel an appointment. The doctor is working for you, so, yes, it is allowed that you have some say-so in when you select your appointment times. Call as soon as you decide to change and they will appreciate that.
