For an assessment task, i have to make a childrens picture book. And instead of actually drawing the pictures, i have taken actual photgraphs from the internet. The pictures fit the story well and everything, but i was wondering if its ok for a picture book to have photographs instead of actual drawn pictures. what do you guys think?

thanks in advance =]

  1. Actually, it would always depend on what kind of story book you want to present in the class.

What are the ages of the children? Photos should be somewhat appropriate for the viewers. Pick some pictures that be easily remembered. So I think actual drawn pictures would be fine.

  2. Sure, it is OK... it's your creation, so you can make it however you want to.  My only advice about using the photographs, however, is that you should check to see if they are copyrighted.  If they are, you should look into using photographs that are "public domain" or photographs that you have taken.  Anyway, good luck and have fun doing it.

  3. I think you better draw. Because your own drawing can sometime get more attention from the children. And if don't want to draw and use the picture from the internet, then make sure that you have a permission to use the picture. If not find the picture again and ask for permission.
