Hi,

I am trying to create a Macro in Word 2000 that inserts an image into a document, but when I run it it moves the image and changes it back to it's original size. Please help me! Thanks in advance for your answers.

PS. I am trying to create 2 different ones, one to insert the company logo into the top of a letter and another to insert my signature which I have scanned into the document. Might also try to merge both together but need to get them right on their own first!

  1. Two things to investigate first:

    1) Have you recorded the macro?  If so, look at the code and try and work out exactly what it is doing.

    2) Understand fully the options that are available in Word for manipulating pictures, I am specifically thinking Format | Picture | Picture, You might then be able to record something more accurately.

Another totally different approach to consider is Autotext this will allow you to store the picture(s) in an Autotext, each one can have a code that you type and then press F3.  These are stored in a document template so you can distribute in the same was as you would the macros.

  2. Not really an answer to your question, but if you are only wanting a logo and signature on a page then maybe you could put them into the header and footer page so they will always be there but not interfere with any of your document contents.
