how do i solve

(2/3)ⁿ when n=4?

oh and also.. is 1/2 the answer to (1/4)² ?

  1. (2/3)^4 = ( (2^4) / (3^4) )

              = ( 16 / 81 )


  2. For the first problem, you would multiply 2/3 x 2/3 x 2/3 x 2/3 which gives you an answer of 16/81.

    (1/4) squared is not 1/2, the correct answer is 1/16.  Whenever you are squaring something, you are multiplying that number by itself.

  3. uummm..i did this on a scientific calculator.

    (2/3)ⁿ = 2/81

    (1/4)²  = 1/16
