Question:

Urgent passport after oath ceremony?

Hi, my oath ceremony is on July 2nd. I need to travel urgently after the ceremony and I'm planning on going to the passport agency personally. Has anyone done it this way? When should I make an appointment prior to ceremony? On the web, it says who has to leave in 2weeks or has to get foreign visa on 4 weeks. When should I make appointment and what should I prepare? and do I pay for the whole process on that date with my credit card?

  1. It will take anywere from 3 to 6 weeks when you pay the rush fee - going to the agency makes no difference, as all passports are processed in a central location; you will need to send in your Certificate of Citizenship; I would suggest you travel before the ceremony, or be prepared to wait
