hi,

I did buy a car with this guy, then give him money for the repair of the car. I was supposed to pick the car up yesterday at the mechanic place but he went and pick the car up, I went to his place to take my car and at my biggest suprise, he refused to give me the car saying that he won't give it to me because he changed his mind. I asked him what about the $2250 I gave him for everything, and he said that I can't prove that.

Now when we seal the deal he signed the tittled right the way over to me and made me signed it too. But said he will keep it and give it to me when I come and pick up the car.

I called the police, they asked him about it and he said that I was lying that i never gave him money at all and the car was his, the police asked to see the tittle and he is claiming that he lost his tittle. The police told me that it is up to me if I want to take him to court because it is a civil matter. Now I am lost also the only reason I trusted him is because I knew him.

  1. wow what an a*****e. do you have any big friends, or know something about him say skeletons in his closet? or just take his *** to court your chances are good youll win.

  2. Im get somebody to beat his *** down.

Or even better make him spent the money you gave him on his car ( key it, break the windows, pop the tires).

Be smart about don't get caught.

  3. If he signed the title over to you right away then it is simple, take him to court and show them the title with your name on it.  For the money you paid it is simple, show the receipt and get the car back.  Time to get a lawyer.

  4. Take him to court. If he refuses to show the title, then the judge will take a very dim view of his case. Might even get charged with obstruction.

  5. Do you have any proof that you gave him the money?  Is there a slip from the bank saying you drew it out on the date you gave him the money?  Who repaired the car?

  6. Call the cop's again and tell them too look at the title, that there is your proof that he did sign the car over too you, and that should get you the title and he should go to jail for lying to the police the first time, If you have proof of the $2250, then you got him in a pickle jar. I hope you do cause he sounds like a con artist. But if you get a chance go to the car and write down the VIN #, it is in the windshild on the driver side of the car, with that you can file for a lost title.

  7. you shouldent trust him,

but i dont think that you can prove it :S

i guess you lost you money, and if you go to the court you will lose more money for nothing....

    sorry for that.

try to get a hitman, it might work with him...

  8. Sue him in "Judge Judy"s court.  She will see right through the lying freeloader and tear him a new a*********le.

  9. I'm afraid you're off to civil court on this one.  No other way unless he'll be reasonable.  If you don't have canceled checks or receipts though for the money you gave him, don't bother...just move on and consider your money an investment in learning a hard lesson.

  10. Sounds like you didn't really know him that well, sounds like you might be screwed.  Guys like that deserve to have an accident.  Hopefully he'll get into a car crash

  11. Did you pay cash?  Did you pay him by check or money order?  If you used a check-contact you bank and get a copy or original or the cashed check/money order (stub).  Without any paperwork to back up your story-no judge will find in your favor?
