Urgent web design help needed A.S.A.P?

Question

I'm trying to design a blog like page with an outer glow for the content area. The problem I have is I don't know how to keep the outer glow when the page gets longer than what it was in the design stage. The web page will be about three pages long and the outer glow image has just become a block on its own. Its hard to explain and it would be better if I could show you but I need to know how to keep the outer glow in place no matter how long I choose to have my web page. Please please help me. This is an urgent matter that I need resolved as soon as poss. Thanks in advance
