We had a test today. When I finished with it, I was like, cool, that was like the easiest test I've ever written!!!!! Later on, when we saw the teacher, I asked her whether she'd marked my test yet, I was all very excited and wanted to hear that I'd gotten 100% but she said I'd only gotten 88% because I misread the date! We were recording transactions. And we practiced on old ones from 2006. In the test, it was on 2008 and I wrote 2006 for all of them!!!! I just got all of it wrong like that!!!!! I want to murder myself. I could've gotten 100% but now because of that STUPID mistake, I only got 88%. I WANT to murder myself. Really. I've been getting this urge to strangle myself. Someone, please help me!!! I just want to jump in the lake and never surface. After the test, I was boasting and telling everyone how easy the test was, and now they made about a few mistakes but they didn't get ALL the dates wrong! So most of them probably got 90% + and a number would've gotten 100%. And I, the "top student" get 88%!

  1. calm down...

i did something similar in my statistics exam that was basically my entire GCSE, i felt horrible about it for days...you just need to go through the whole 'kick urself' ritual then u'll just move onto the next thing and learn from ur mistakes

and btw 88% is still kick-***, even if it's not quite wot u wanted x

  2. First of all a grade of 88% is a very good grade. This grade is either a B+ or an A-. Now the most serious matter is that you want to take your life over this grade. Do you have any concerns that are not school related. Would you talk to your high counselor about this, talk to your priest, pastor  or rabi about this, if you really can't you take it any more call 911. These people will try to help you out. Life is great. It is a great experince. Hope this helps you out.

  3. Your issue, though important to you is not life threatening. Simply pay more attention to this type of thing in the future. Is not worth strangling yourself or immersing yourself in water forever.

It is not a competition unless you wish it to be. So what you made an 88%? Do better next time. Perfection is not always the goal nor does it need to be the goal every time.

When you constantly say, what if? (What if people think I'm dumb? What will people think?" What IF!)  I reply this way. What IF my grandmother had testicles? That would simply make her my grandfather!

You are fine. You did not fail this test.  You may not have had the perfect score you desired. But all is well.

Accept your imperfections as if you accept yours, you are more apt to accept other peoples.

    Count your blessings.
