What is your honest opinion on the fight? I like Faber a lot. He is a wrestler, like me, and an all-around great fighter. I dont believe he has been tested yet. Pulver is going to be his 1st true test to see how good he is. Pulver is great, but I still think Urijah is a much better fighter. Give your honest imput on the fight....

  1. Pulver is definitely the veteran of the sport so he has the advantage. However, Faber is an awesome fighter and is a sick fighter. I'm rooting for Faber though. I love to see the underdog take the win. Pulver got the sh*t beaten out of him by BJ Penn and the same will happen when he goes against the "California Kid" Urijah Faber.

  2. I really think this one is going the distance.  I just don't really see either one committing to a big mistake early on.  Faber's wrestling will probably give him the top striking position for most of the fight, so I think the decision will go to him.

  3. I think Faber will win, but I would love to see Pulver pull off an upset.  It would set the leauge back though, as Pulver being a UFC washout would beat the WEC champion.

  4. Yea, Urijah Faber is just way too good for a has-been like Pulver. In Pulver's prime, Faber would be in trouble. But even then, Urijah is just too awesome standing up and on the ground. His skills are impeccable to say the least and he'll find Lil' Evil's weak spots and capitalize on them when he finds the opportunity to do so.

  5. Urijah Faber should win this fight if the WEC fighters are anywhere near the level of the UFC. I'm not implying that Pulver is a UFC contracted fighter, just that his last fight that was competitive was against BJ Penn (a loss). Faber is a lot younger and all, but Pulver could catch him with a punch, and he is also experienced in the ground game. So, Faber will have a challenging fight against a tough better than average fighter from the UFC who is just a bit past his greatest hour. Who knows though, Pulver could win and have a long reign at the top of WEC lightweight division, but to me that seems less likely.

  6. Pulver is my favorite lightweight-featherweight of all time.... if Urijah decides he wants to stand up with Jens, he is going to get KO'd, that is almost a guarantee i can give you, but if he gets Jens to the ground, i see him pounding away to a vicory easily, even catching a sub.....he might have good standup, but Jens throws thunder

  7. ya I'd think Faber should win this.
