Question:

Urine in Bath and Body Works Spray?

If someone puts about 2 teaspoons of urine into a 3/4 or half full bottle of Bath and Body Works Body Spray, and the bottle is tested 5-6 months later for urine, will the spray test positive? or will all the chemicals (like Isopropyl Alcohol) clean it out? Also, if it does test positive for urine, will they get a clean sample of the person's DNA?????

  1. I work in a hospital lab and we do regular urine testings there. i've never had a sample like that come in before. IF anything is found it would only be very, very trace amounts of things that are concentrated in the urine like urea and creatinine. I am not sure what effect the alcohol would have on the urine, though i would imagine it would kill bacteria and things like that.

As far as the DNA goes, normal people could have cells found in their urine sediment. The place testing the body spray would have to centrifuge down the entire sample and hope there are a few cells down at the bottom of it to test, but after sitting for 5 months what are the chances they will still be there? slim to none, and that's where your DNA would be found.

i say you are alright, please don't pee in my spray though. haha.
