The school supplies asks for #2 pencils. Can I use mechanical pencils? Are there #2 leads?

haha. that  doesnt sound urgent but u can get them at target and mechanical pecils u  can have. and u have to check to see what kind u have and see if u see 2 buy 2. not that big of a deal

ahhh...if ur so urgent, then u would just buy anything without posting your question on yahoo answers before. anyways.. who cares about a pencil, whether its #2 or watever. the teachers prolly arent gonna even care, and i mean who the h**l would? its just a pencil!!!!!!!

I think #2 pencils are useful for trial and error writings especially in elementary grades. (You can use "Mongol brand" for it).

Mechanical pencils are intended for drafting or drawing courses but it can be used ordinarily even in college especially if you want to have good looking temporary write-ups. The sharpness of the output of the mechanical pencil is best in noting some parts of a textbook while you're studying or reading it.

Yes, my school supplies list always asks for #2 pencils, but I like mechanical pencils better. I dont think ur school will be too strict about it if u use mechanical. I mean, the teachers dont really care. For standarized testing, though, u might want to use regular #2 pencils. And yes, normal .5 mm and .7 mm lead packages are #2. Just dont get the lead at like a dollar store or sumthing.
