Serving with great enthusiasm was Urszula; she opened set 1-0 by smashing an ace. She had perfect exactitude and struck zero double faults. While Ashley had average serve points and her total return points were a meagre twenty five percent which were below the par. Additionally, she was also unable to win any break point opportunities as her opponent had a strong defence and did not commit any break point chances on her serve instead Julia converted Ashley’s break points to her advantage and won the set with almost twice as many points as her opponents (Ashley).
The second set was a close match between both the players. However, during the second set both the players broke each other once in the first ten games to square off the score at 5-5. Radwanska broke Weinhold in the eleventh game to take a 6-5 lead, however, Weinhold also broke Radwanska in the twelfth game to equalize the score 6-6 taking the match to a tie-breaker. However, Radwanska won the tie-breaker and the set.
Overall in the second set, Urszula was unable to hit an ace and with a wobbly accuracy hit two double faults. The Pole hung in the match and did not let her opponent take control instead she availed any opportunity she got and was able to triumph over Ashley by scoring six more points in the total set points.
