The Paris Saint-Germain man signed for the Ile club last summer but is more or less surplus to the requirements of Carlo Ancelotti
Despite slowly slipping into oblivion, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Diego-c11058 Lugano is still a regular fixture for the Uruguayan national side. Since the beginning of the current Ligue 1 campaign, Paris Saint-Germain coach, Carlo Ancelotti has not used the 31-year-old.
And to add insult to injury, the defender was not even named in PSG’s 25 man squad for this season’s edition of the UEFA Champions League. This is certainly a major blow for a player who arrived at the Ile club last summer with the reputation of being an
impassable and impenetrable rock. Today, the future of the 31-year-old seems bleak.
Currently, Carlo Ancelotti, the coach of the cash-laden giants, has preferred to use the services of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Silva-c34903 from AC Milan this summer, it is unlikely that Lugano would be
given a lot of chances to redeem himself after his inconsistent performances last season.
Confined to only domestic game with a big ‘if’ will Lugano accept this much longer? Although earning 4 million euros per year might ease his troubles, Lugano has never been the kind of player who would sit on the bench and bide his time.
Although he might not be looking to leave PSG, Lugano might consider a move away from Parc des Princes when the winter transfer window opens this January. Brazilian news agency, Terra claims that leaders of Brazilian giants, Sao http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paulo-c29431 have indeed studied
the option of signing the defender.
And Lugano would not be against the idea of making a return to the club where he played between 2003 and 2006.
However, it still remains to be seen if a departure to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858 would be a feasible option for both parties. Paris Saint-Germain won’t really miss Lugano’s services if he leaves and will save 4 million euros but it still remains to be seen if the player would
be willing to take a pay cut in order to secure a return to the Brazilian giants.
