Verizon, espically after the Alltel merger coming into full effect at the end of this year.  Verizon is soon to be the largest EVDO/1xRTT network in the United States, with more local conerage than any other carrier in the United States.

Go with US Cellular. You don't have to sign any kind of contract, you have free incoming calls, and the plans aren't that expensive. Verizon might have better phones, but I think the better choice in the long run is US Cellular.

Verizon has WAY more "3G' / EVDO coverage available.
