Us dollars and british pounds?

how many US dollars should i take with me when i go to england for a week? I dontneed a hotel and will only eat out 3 or four times max. thanks!!

England is an expensive place, a big mac meal will work out about $7.  The best answer is to bring as much as you can afford to bring in cash, travellers cheques and a credit card
