  1. my daughter (3 years old, I-600 petition approved) appeared at US Embassy in Manila where my brother in law and sister in law were interviewed for 2 days.  The Consular Officer took her passport and sent it to be processed at the National Visa Center.  This occurred in early April.  Here it is in mid May and still no visa.  My patience is running out.  It is frustrating, and ridiculous that it takes so long to process documents in a case like this where both of her parents are American Citizens.  The National Visa Center said they had finished processing the case and that it was at the US Embassy in Manila.  The US Embassy is where the problem is.  They're way too slow.  I can just tell that I'm probably going to have to reschedule my airline tickets because of this ridiculous slow processing.  So, in other words, you are not alone.  This Embassy is very inefficient from what I can see.

  2. i really cannot answer this , only the embassy could , please be patient , it will work out ,

i wish you luck and a bit more patience :-)

  3. This happens frequently.  It's due to the massive amount of visa fraud that takes place in the Philippines.  My guess is that the consular officer does not believe she's seriously committed to the marriage.  If it had been a problem with suspected fraudulent documents she never would have made it as far as the interview.

There's not much you can do.  You could contact your Congressman or one of your Senators (Congressman is best).  Ask him/her to inquire about your case.  It should take a month to six weeks to get an answer.  Just understand, your Congressman has no power to order the embassy to do anything.  All he/she can do is ask for an explanation for the delay.

Also, understand that you have no "right" to bring your wife to the United States.  Believe me, the embassy can and does deny visa requests.  It happens every day at the embasy in Manila.

  4. this is normal, there is so much going on right now that it has effected the immigration proccess a lot, me and my cousin married men from egypt (in egypt) , she (my cousin) left egypt after she married him and he had his interview back in january 2007, he still hasn't heard anything, i left egypt after i married my man, but only to come back to usa and start his immigration papers, after talking to the immigration workers i learned if i didn't travel back to him i would be waiting a long time to see him again, so i traveled back to egypt in august 2006 and i completed his immigration papers there, sent them to where they had to go, and in november 2006 he went to his interview, one week after his interview he had his visa in his hand and we got our tickets and came to the usa, the best thing to do in a situation like this is to be with your spouse until everything clears and travel back here with her.  i wish you the best of luck.
