British and French leaders thought they could appease Hitler by giving him the land he demanded? Do you think government leaders should divide a territory without asking the people who live there what they want? Why or why not?

I don't know but they did the same thing with America, Israel, Palestine and a few other countries over the last 300 years.

Ofcourse not! Land (in a capitalist democracy anyway) belongs to the people and not the Government...it is not theirs to give away.

i think if youre a government leader then you should just go right ahead and divide your territory.

but for the peoples sake, id hafta say not so much.
