Im quite surprised with this cos I read a few months ago the athletes were training hard to make the passing of the baton perfect

So yeah I expected them to do well

Dont condemn the runners

They are the ones most devastated

Questions like this are the reason why so many Americans believe that others are jealous. I've seen many other countries make mistakes in any of the olympics games. But, of course, when America does so, everyone has to announce it, and get a good laugh. Your jealousy is very obvious!!

I am starting to wonder whether it was on purpose to save face. It would save both teams from a humiliating defeat from the Jamaicans. They knew they couldn't win it, so why qualify?! The USA mens team lost last time around to Team GB, but to loose so many times to the Jamaican team is just pitiful. Go Jamaica!

both teams did that on purpose, they do not want to qualify and then end up losing to Jamaica again, this will save the teams further embarassment. they have no Olympic spirit at all, shame on America

I second Gravel, weather maybe a reason though the team should put Weather & Track conditions into account when they prepared the match.

Apologise i do not know the US Men Runner names, do you think the 4th one started a bit early and did not looked back to check where is the beton? Instead he just kept running and waited the 3rd put the metal beton to his hand
