Question

hi im 19 from sydney and thinking about studying in the u.s to study engineering.i have a car worth 20,000 AUD.how much do i need to move over there:cost of living,studies etc. is there anyone in australia (agency etc.) who i can talk to about moving there.i have completed senior high school and have HSC certificate???????? please help........

In terms of moving your car, I would suggest that you first consider if it would be worth moving it overseas and whether you'll even need it or be able to use it. Depending on the school and your lifestyle here, you may not need a car or it will be too expensive to have one here (insurance, registration, gas, license). It could cost more to bring a car here than it is to buy one here. You could check with your local postal and delivery services for starters though, if you would like to do that.

It's hard to say exactly what the cost of living would be and how much tuition is because it really depends on your school and what area. If you're going to a big city or a private university, it's going to cost more. There are literally thousands of institutions here, so maybe you could start your search with special college search engines, like at collegeboard.com and princetonreview.com. Both sites have articles, advices and will find universities based on your specifications. Those can at least help you get started in the right direction in terms of what you're looking for in a school. Good luck.
