  1. No sorry.  Phelps broke four individual world records and was part of two relay world records.  Bolt looking breaking the world record was exceptional, but it is one event.  If Bold broke the world record in say three different events, then check back..

  2. You can't compare swimming with track. Both are incredible.

  3. about time someone other than an american won something other than swimming he was awesome to watch.....

  4. I didnt get to watch the 100m race today. Idk why but it wasnt on my olympics coverage today but i think its unfair to compare the two mens accomplishments, they are both terriffic athletes and should be well respected for what they have done. Not just in competitions but also away from the track/pool.

Amazing athletes should be recognized for what they do in their own way to that sport!

  5. to the person who said bolt breaking the record isn't that incredible...

its harder to run more events on the track than swim more in the pool.

track you have to train specific to the event you are doing.

  6. Great run by Bolt, and he deserves the title of "world's fastest man".

But can he win the 200, the 400, or the hop, skip and jump, or

any other track discipline.  Probably not (200 maybe).

Phelps is world class and beyond is several swimming disciplines.

Answer this.  Bolt and Phelps run the 100 meters dash, then

get in the pool and swim 100 meters freestyle.  Who would have

the largest winning margin?  Probably Phelps.
