Anyone else thinks it's a little disrespectful of Bolt to show-boat 85m through the 100m race before finishing all the way.

  1. I don't think it's disrespectful. Just extremely arrogant.

  2. yeah it is, but when u that fast, u can do that,  besides whatever they try to do to them, remember they have to catch him first

  3. Yes, I did because he should've given everybody enough respect to give it his all the whole way through. Nonetheless, he is a great sprinter.

  4. I'm not really sure if it was meant to be "show-boating". After the race, he said something to the effect that all he wanted to do was win the first gold medal for jamaica - he wasn't concerned with the world record - and so that is why he looked around at the end to make sure he was doing it. since he is a very young runner, i think he deserves a little slack because this is his first time and he probably was overwhelmed that he was beating asafa powell etc.If he continues to do the same thing in other races, however, i think that would be a little inappropriate. but one race alone shouldn't deem him a show-boater.

  5. Bolt is amazing and one fast dude, his showboating is just the way he is.

do I find it immature and unsportsmanlike, yes, but that's my opinion.

    He is amazing.

  6. I think this attack on Bolt is calculated. Once again the American showing how difficult it is for them to accept defeat. How quickly do we forget Maurice Greene tongue and Jon Drummond antics including protesting by lying on the track. Usain Bolt is a young 21 year old Jamaican phenomenon who loves his Reggae music and dance. Praise the young man America and give him the recognition that he deserves. Besides you force the rest of the world to accept that swimming guy.

  7. He might have show boat a little, but the fact is no one is able to challenge him in the event. Not even close. He has every right to do so.

If he were to dash with his full strength and he would probably getting 9.45 or 9.50. That would embarassing for other sprinters.

  8. Well if you are that much faster, you can do whatever you want.

  9. yo unno stop badmind de man..it wasn't no diss ting..de man glad seh him win and have de right fi celebrate..unno gweh yaa..guh tru bolt!!

  10. One can tell that he is arrogant, but his display disrespectful?

How many times have we seen people celebrate before the match is over?

Does this also apply to the US female volleyball champs May and the other girl?  I mean really.

I have a problem with the news media particular the anchorman hosting on NBC 4 w/ Ato Boldon referring to him in that manner.

  11. I love how Americans dog other countries when they beat them at their "own" games, you guys become petty, when Michael Jordan makes amazing shots and he gets excited, and beats his chest, you call it passion, but when someone else does it, its disrespectful. My boy Bolt ran and won this race with an untied shoe and slowed down, i think him slowing down is a sign of respect, because if he would have went all out, then you would have heard that he is disrespectful to the other runners and that would be considered showboating, come on now, just congratulate and stop this hate. American athletes have their method of celebrating that may be considered questionable to other folks, but who cares. I swear, the american mentality, it is what makes you guys hated on the world stage, come off that high horse, the rest of the drug free world is catching up. Big Up Bolt!!! One Love!!!

  12. A little. I also don't think it's fair to call him the fastest man in the world. What about those that had to drop out because of injuries?
