  1. I'm assuming that your usb internet stick is your Wireless Nic Card...LOL!!!

Here are a few steps you can take:

    1. Verify that your wireless zero service is turned on

    Click on Start

    Click on Run

    Type in services.msc

click the OK button, which will bring up a dialogue.

You may want to maximise the screen. Scroll down to Wireless Zero Configuration and select it.

You now have the option to Start the service.

You also need to change the Startup Type from Manual to Automatic

    Action -> Properties

    Click OK.

You can now use XP to manage your wireless connection

    2. You can verify that you are getting a correct IP address by

    Click on Start

    Click on run

    type ipconfig/all

You should see and IP address starting with 192.168.1.XX

    If not

    type ipconfig/release

    you should see all zeros

    then type

    ipconfig/renew

this will refresh your IP address.

  2. you should contact the service provider they may send someone to fix it or help you over the phone. good luck.
