Usb port won't function properly?

Question

my usb ports on my pc will pick up the device,it makes sound for connection and dissconection but will not allow to download music or transfer pictures,please help and use laymans terms,not really good with conputer lingo,lol~~`thanks

Might be your usb port is less than 2.0 that is why it's not transfering. i had same problem then i used my new computer and then it works. you can probably update right click my computer>properties>hardware>device manager>universal serial bus controller>usb composite device after that right click and update see any thing chage.

If you have " Vista " you could need a service pack from M/soft that they put out to overcome this fault when on their site try a search for USB upgrade
