Usb web cam not working

Question

Hi guys. I was running out of hard drive space so I deleted some of the software which I didn't think I was using. It turned out that part of that was also the web cam software the got deleted. This software probably came the laptp from HP. They don't have the drivers on their site and HP/Compaq chat tech support is useless. Can you help??? Its a Compaq nx 7400 laptop running on Windows XP Professional package. I believe I have Service Pack 2 but not totally positive. Thanks
