Use Australian radio in the USA?

Wondered whether to take my Australian AM/FM transistor radio with me when I'm travelling in the USA. Will it pick up US radio signals ?

The AM/FM band for free-to-air radio stations is almost universally the same throughout the world. The only difference I´ve ever seen was a slight (2 or 3 MHz) difference in top or bottom end of the spectrum. I´m sure that your transistor radio will work just fine in the US.
