i have a 30 gig iPod, but i broke it. I was thinking that i could use it as a removeable harddrive or something, because it has a lot of space. How could i make my computer use it as another drive? If you don't know how, whats another thing i could do with my busted iPod?

  1. I'm not sure how broken you mean, but you can use it like a USB "jump/flash/pin" drive if you plug the white cord that came with it into your computer, open up iTunes, and when you click on your iPod preferences there should be a "Use as hard drive" check box or some similar wording.

If you can't get into iTunes to turn this option on, I'm not sure how you'd do it. But I think if you ever selected this option and now the music part didn't work, you could still use it as a portable hard drive if you just open it up as a drive in My Computer.

You can always send it to Apple and have them fix it too, for a fee.
