  1. - 8x + 6y = - 22

    5x - 6y = 9-----ADD

    - 3x = - 13

    x = 13 / 3

    52/3 - 3y = 11

    3y = 19 / 3

    y = 19 / 9

    x = 13 / 3 , y = 19 / 9

  2. 4x-3y=11 (Multiply equation by -2 )

    -8x + 6y = -22

    5x  - 6y  =  9

    ----------------------------- Add straight down

    -3x = -13

    x = 13/3

    solve for y

    4*13/3 - 3y = 11

    52/3 - 3y = 11 (Subtract 17.33333 from both sides)

    - 3y = -6.333333

    y = 2.1111111  or 19/9

    Solution : (13/3 , 19/9) is the point of intersection

    Good luck to you !
