Question:

Use trash for energy?

I've read about an incenerator that burns trash to use for energy instead of coal and the smoke is filtered to a fine ash that uses a butt load less of space for the land fills. that makes perfect sense to me...why hasn't this been considered as a way of saving land space and less use of coal for energy?

  1. I know I read in PopSci or PopMech about a landfill that was drilled like a natural gas well to get methane from the decomposing matter.
