Used a condom but could I be pregnant?

Ok here is the situation. I came off the pill a couple of months ago for health reasons. My next period came roughly a month later, pretty much on schedule. This was exactly six weeks ago. In the meantime yes I have had s*x (with my husband!) but using condomns which didn't appear to break.

So a few days ago I took a pregancy test just in case, as my period was late. Nothing happened but later on, when I went to throw it away there was a definite pink line on the test (NOT the control window, the preg test window), faint but unmistakeable. Took another, this was negative.

Period still not started, I dont feel particularly pregnant although my b*****s are a little bit sore. I know that logically i am probably not pregnant but just have a feeling maybe I am. has anyone has a similar-ish experience to this, thoughts as to whether I am or not?

realise this is REALLY long sorry - this kinda shows how much i am obsessing!

Often with pregnancy tests a "control" line can be mistaken for a false positive. ESPECIALLY when you read it beyond the alloted time given in the instructions.

It is also not unusual for women to have abnormal cycles after coming off the pill- it may take many months for your cycle to return to as it was.

It may be that it is still to early for an HPT...

If I was you, I would wait for another couple of days before making an appointment with your family doctor and getting a blood test done!

hi, it could've been an evaporation line since the test sat for a while. are you sure you guys did'nt have a time where you said forget a condom, and a condom could have pin-like holes and be defective. anyway if you are sure that the condom did'nt break then it may just be the stress of worrying or wanting to be pregnant. good luck cause i understand.

Did the positive line show up after 10 minutes?  Cos they say to disregard any results after 10 minutes as they could change.  But yes you can get pregnant with condoms, me and my fiance were using condoms and now have a 7 and a half month old boy! So you should def take another test! Hope this helps, xx

Well most of the time when people use condoms they don't get pregnant but i me and my husband used a condom and i got pregnant. So it is possible but i also took a test and it was there but u could barely see it. I wasn't pregnant at that time so i think it was wear the line is suppose to be. I know they say if its there no matter how faint your pregnant but if you look at a test before you take it sometimes you can kinda see it. Its better to take the one that says pregnant or not pregnant and take it in the morning with your first pee. Don't stress yourself because you will make your period late and also you can have pregnancy symptoms and not even be pregnant. Good luck I'm also trying. My baby ended in a missed miscarriage.

What you saw on the test was an evaporation line. You have to read the result within 10 minutes otherwise you can't trust it.
