Used bmw or brand new mustang?

Depends.  If you want the ultimate driving machine, and you've got unlimited funds to maintain it, the used BMW is fine.

If you want affordable, reliable transportation, you'd take a Mustang.  Repairs and maintenance cost on the Mustang will be about 10% of what it is on the BMW, if you do it right.

I would buy a used car. New cars lose 40% of their value as soon as you drive them off the lot.

I will take the middle  course on this one.

Buy a one to two year old mustang. Take the difference and trick it out to your liking.

If you want more horses under the hood put the money there.

If you want more cornering control put the money there.

With a little wise shopping  you can make a used mustang into a BMW killer. The Vetts will not like it either.
