  1. You can try www.Yachtworld.com as well as Boats.com.  As for what to look for when buying a used boat, that is a very detailed list.  I will do my best to keep it short.  First thing to notice is the condition of the gelcoat.  If it is dull, that is okay, it will just need some wax.  If the color comes off on your hand when you wipe it, it may need polishing and waxing or just repainting if that doesn't fix it.  Check the upholstery for sagging.  Most upholstery has some mold, mildew, or cracking but a sagging seat is a sign of rotten supports.  Walk the fiberglass decks barefoot and feel for softspots.  Lift up the carpet and look for dark spots in the plywood flooring.  Another goofy thing that I do is look in the bilge and in the engine compartment for a "line".  When a boat is sunk it will usually leave a water line at the point to where she sank.  If it is a brokerage boat you will be able to hear the engine after making an offer.  That is to protect you and the broker from any damage that may occur from starting the engine.  Rest assured before you actually sign the ownership papers you will hear the engine run or get a mechanical inspection as well as a sea trial.  A survey is a great idea and maybe required if you are financing or getting insurance.  Just use a S.A.M.S. surveyor if you do.  To purchase a sport nautique in your price range think older.  Correct Craft (the builder of Ski Nautiques and Sport Nautiques) builds a high end boat and a 20 or 30 year old model wouldn't scare me a bit if she has been well cared for.  I know this answers your questions.
