hello everyone.

i am new to usa.i have less knowledge when it comes to cars.i am buying a car but have no idea which one.

after some research i have come to conclusion that i will go for honda civic or accord or nissan ultima(all coupe models).these are economy cars and i like coupes.i am single and wont be having family for next 5 years atleast.

can anyone tell me what are the disadvantages of coupe to sedan?

also i dont have experience in driving cars,so i dont know if i should go for used one or a new one.i am stuck with this dilemma.i know its only me that can answer this question but please give me some ideas.

also if i wait for 2 months more, will 2009 models come to market?will i then get a discount on 2008 models?

  1. Money wise: Used about 1 year old, then use it until it dies

Avoid all the "new car fees" Shipping? etc, the bugs are out of it or should be

    Prestige? buy new

  2. never buy used if you can afford new. check online at Edmunds.com. you can review all cars, prices and info. read reviews by owners and pros. more and better info than here.

  3. Welcome to the Country!

Honda and Nissan are both Japanese manufactures and very reliable.  Personally I would go with Honda.

New cars are great but you can save a lot of money by buying a car that is a couple years old.  If I had to choose between the Civic and the Accord I would go with the Accord simply because the new models look better and the new top of the line model is a V6 that on highway speeds reduces to a V3 to save gas.

a down fall with Honda right now is that there are not Xenon head lights (accept on some Accord Coupe models), which makes a huge difference if your driving at night.

Used is a great way to go as long as you know what to look for in a car.  Don't always look for a honda or nissan at a honda or nissan dealership.  The best deals you can get on cars from dealerships are when you buy trade ins at other dealerships.  You might want to visit your local dealership websites and see if they have any of the cars your looking for.  you can normally save a few thousand and offer lower prices when a dealership isn't selling their own make car.

Insurance is different depending on if you have a coupe or a sedan.  coupes cost more per month to insure, but since your single have some fun and get a coupe.

by this fall the 2009 models will be out.  You will beable to get discounts on 2008 models especially as it gets closer to the new year.

It all depends on how much your willing to pay.
