So there is a Chrystler Sebring JX Convertible for $5,369. It has 101,241 miles on it.... Any opinions? Is that too much mileage already? Is it not worth it?

  1. If it has over one hundred thousands miles for get it! paying five thousands for that is insane!! Go to kellybluebook.com they will help you figure out what it is worth

  2. it is worth it.  go for it!

  3. what year is it?

Sebrings have a bit of a shabby track record with quality, I would be weary.

  4. Resale on Sebrings (no matter the age) was pretty bad, so they can be had for cheap.

Without knowing the age of the car, it's hard to say whether or not it's worth $5,000. However, if it were me, I would never buy a used Chrysler with over 100K on the odometer. These were unreliable vehicles. I'd look elsewhere for a more reliable make.

  5. do not buy a Sebring

    they are mechanically unreliable.

even the brand new ones are having problems with the convertible tops.

    if you want a convertible

    $4,000 1998 Mustang V6

    $6,000 99 to 2001 Mustang V6

    $8,000 V8 1999 to 2000

    $10,000 V6 2003 or a V8 2001

  6. that's a few miles, but that's a great car

  7. The price is way to high for what you are getting.

  8. Yeah too much money and not worth it for that car...that car is not worth it and will probably break down within a year.  Don't get it!!  You can also go to www.kellybluebook.com to find true values of new and used vehicles.

  9. a chrysler sebring is one of those throw away cars, its made so cheap and its a piece of c**p, i wouldnt pay more then 3000 for it

  10. The year is just as important if not more so than the miles.

A 10 year old car with 50k miles with regular maintenance will still have issues to attend to... gasgets dry out, plastic tanks develop pin holes, the radiator has rusted....  A 5 year old car with 100k highway miles with regular maintenance should have no issues.

  11. Chryslers have had transmission problems. The vehicle has over 100,000 miles.... depending on the previous owners if they maintained the vehicle, mechanically and did the oil changes you may be able to drive it another 30 to 40,000 miles....but you may have to put money into it for failing parts. You will pay a premium at this time of year for the luxury of driving a rag-top. If you have additional monies for repairs that may be expected, then it's up to you. Do yourself a favor.... get the vehicle checked by a third party mechanic before you buy! So make the deal condional upon mechanics inspection.

    I hope this helps

    Cheers
