Used parts for la cambali M29 select

i brought my M29 to the local dealer for repair.  the motor and pump didn't work.   the boiler and switches did.  after 4 hours of work a was told that the CPU was bad.  a new one was $2,000.  it didn't seem right that some things worked and some didn't if the CPU was out but what can i do.  HELP
