Useful or Useless – Real Madrid summer signings so far (Part 3)
It is true that all these players bought by Jose Mourinho are extraordinary. However, there is no one denying the fact that not all of them will be getting enough time on the pitch. Ricardo Kaka and Mesut Ozil are players of the same positions and only one
of them can feature in one match.
Just like that, Lassana Diarra and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Xabi-Alonso-c37045 will have to switch as well. Jose Mourinho might be offloading a few players before the season starts in order to take care of the conflict which is going
to take place right before every game whether who to play and who to drop in order to get the best result.
Even though all these signings are very tactical and technical, they all seemed to be uncalled for. All these players look useful when they blend together but what Real Madrid actually needed this season was a centre back and a left back.
Jose Mourinho’s basic problems this season occurred at the back. The Brazilian full back Marcelo was not able to perform up to the mark. Even though he played better than the previous season, his defensive capabilities were simply not enough to help Real
Madrid win the Spanish La Liga title.
Marcelo was the weak link against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan boss, Jose Mourinho has shown
interest in the Portuguese full back Fabio Coentrao.
Another problem for Real Madrid has been the centre back position. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Raul-c30652 Albiol are up to his standards. The Portuguese centre
back http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 in the centre back role but on his off days he is also a reckless competitor of the ball.
Real Madrid can play Sergio Ramos in the centre back position but then there is not a good right back to replace the standards of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-Ramos-c33096. The Spanish full back is simply extraordinary in the right back position. Not only is he good while helping the
team attack, he is amazing at defending. However, this season he has been a little out of form and the FIFA World Cup 2010 can be blamed for it.
Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has made wise decisions regarding the midfield of the team. However, he still has to take into account the defensive conditions of the squad. Not only are Real Madrid vulnerable in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Defence-c38904, once the centre back partnership
between http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ricardo-Carvalho-c30973 and Pepe is broken, the opposition finds huge gaps and takes advantage.
Jose Mourinho definitely has to replace http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ricardo-c30950 Carvalho or Sergio Ramos. In case Carvalho is injured, Ramos
can then feature in the centre back position and the “new” right back can replace Ramos in that position.
Currently Real Madrid are on the right track. With Jose Mourinho in charge, the Los Blancos are definitely going to find the right players for them to win titles all over again.
