Why would my bank care if I was using the ATM at a casino? I recently found out that my bank watches customers that withdraw money from casinos. Why would they care if my account was always in good standing?

  1. They check it for your security. Most of the stolen cards used on online gambling sites. So they must check and follow it.

  2. I think they're just collecting data on your spending habits, when/where and how often/how much you frequent that place.

    It's harmless data gathering!

  3. They could be concerned about you having a gambling problem and blowing all your money, or more likely, they are concerned about potential fraud.

Why would you use an ATM anyway at a Casino, the fees are off the wall.

  4. atm or debit cards are the easiest access for fraudulent activity or theft in your account. your bank might restrict or hold the card usage for verification or security purposes to check whether you still have the card and you are the one using it, not other parties.
